According to JSO, police responded just before 8 a.m. Oct. 10 to a domestic disturbance call on Ashridge Circle in East Arlington. They found Courson on the floor, bleeding from her face.

A witness told police he heard Courson and Brougham arguing because Courson took Brougham's beer and hid it while he was taking a shower.

Former Miss Anambra, Chidinma Okeke might be in serious hot soup as her school management has reacted to her leaked lesbian s*x tape.

Chidinma who is a 300-Level student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and reportedly missing since the incident might face stiff sanction from her school.

While reacting to the viral s*x video, the University Management revealed that it is still considering what punishment to mete out to the Medical Laboratory undergraduate.

In a telephone conversation with the Director of Information and Public Relations of the university, Dr Emmanuel Ojukwu, Saturday Sun gathered that: “The Nnamdi Azikiwe University has not taken any position yet on the matter. For now, we regard everything we have been hearing as speculation. We will find out from the head of her department and the Dean of her faculty what is happening. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ahaneku, will be briefed and then the University will know the next line of action.”

Dr Ojukwu added: “This thing is procedural because the Head of the Department would be told to find out what is happening because for now, the whole thing is speculation to us and he will report to the Dean. You know the reporting system in the university. And then the Dean will brief the Vice-Chancellor.

“And you know at Nnewi, we have a Provost in charge of College of Health Sciences who is like the boss of all the medical departments and faculty in Nnewi. So the Vice-Chancellor has not been briefed. Whatever that is happening is still within the realm of speculation.”

I Gave a Judge N450,000, Not Bribe - Senate President Saraki's Lawyer

Paul Usoro, one of the senior lawyers representing the Senate President, Abubakar Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal has been linked with the alleged bribery of a judge under EFCC investigation.
Mr. Paul Usoro

One of the senior lawyers being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for allegedly bribing judges, Mr. Paul Usoro, SAN, has said that he gave the sum of N450.000 as a gift to Justice James Agbadu-Fishim. He said the money which was given in two installments was a bribe.

Disclosing this to Vanguard, an EFCC source, who was privy to the statement the lawyer made to the commission, said the funds were paid into the judge’s account when he was traveling for a long vacation in August 2014 and during the burial of a relative of the latter in 2015.

The accused, who was said to have been questioned by the commission on October 27, 2016, further informed the commission that he had never appeared before the judge, who is of the National Industrial Court, NIC.

In addition, the source quoted Usoro to have told the commission that he knew Justice Agbadu-Fishim well before he was elevated to the Bench when he was in the telecommunications sub-sector.

Continuing, Usoro was said to have claimed in the statement that apart from Agbadu-Fishim and Justice Kanyip J, he had no relationship with any NIC judge.

On Justice Kanyip, the source said, Usoro claimed to have known him when the latter called to correct him on statements made in a presentation on NIC, some years back to Judges of the Federal High Court.

The source, however, said Usoro in his statement said his law firm had 32 pending and eight concluded matters before the NIC, adding that he does not personally supervise any of the NIC matters being handled by his firm.

Bishop Oyedepo Warn Critics That Covenant University School Fees Have God's Approval

One of the front-line religious leaders in Nigeria, Bishop David Oyedepo has defended the outrageous school fees paid by students of the Covenant University - a private higher institution owned by his ministry.
Dr David Oyedepo

Dr David Oyedepo, the Bishop of the Living Faith Church worldwide, has appealed to those criticising the school fees charged by Covenant University to desist to avoid incurring the wrath of God according to the Vanguard.

Oyedepo, in a telecast to a pre-Shiloh 2016 Convention gathering of the church monitored via satellite in Jos on Saturday, said the critics were acting in ignorance and risked incurring the wrath of God.

He said one of such critic smitten with a strange plague of chronic mouth odour over the act only received spiritual pardon following his confession and “my intervention before he was restored to dignity”.

Oyedepo said the issue of school fees paid by students of the university was a godly agenda to meet the demands of raising godly children in an environment conducive for learning.

He said such criticisms were products of ignorance as what students pay could not be compared with what is obtained elsewhere that lacked facilities.

“The school fees has God's approval and is in accordance with the quality of facilities provided by the university in meeting the educational needs of the nation,” he said.

He said the church in its pioneering role in pushing the frontiers of education with excellence had concluded plans to establish offshore universities.

He Smelt My Pant and Puts His Hand in My Private Part Anytime I Come Back From a Journey - Estranged Wife Tells Court

A woman has cried out for help over the sexual assault her husband forces on her each time she comes back from a long journey.

A woman has begged an Ile Tuntun Customary Court, Mapo Hall, Ibadan, Oyo State, to terminate her marriage after accusing the husband of sexually assaulting her.

Dasola Adeosun told the court that her husband, Taiwo, on several occassion had attempted to use their only two-year-old child for money rituals. She also said the husband used to smell her pants and fingers her each time she travelled to check whether she had slept with another man.

“My husband married me about three and a half years ago as a virgin and we gave birth to a child who is two-year-old, Emmanuel. We’ve separated for about one and a half years and he has not been responsible for our welfare. Whenever he beats me, he either takes me to the hospital for treatment by himself or calls a nurse to come and set a drip for me in the house. I’ve tried to endure his excesses but it seems my patience does not pay any longer.

“After delivering my baby, he insisted on taking the child to his family house where unfortunately, my things were set on fire when a stick of matches was lit and thrown into my room through a window. It was after that incident that he told me he was taking the child to Lagos for money rituals. He took this step twice but he returned to me with the baby that he was told the child was not useful.

“Each time I asked him to give me money to take care of our child, he would say: “the child is not useful for me,” and since then I’ve been doing what I could for the child. I can’t dispute the fact that his sisters brought golden morn and milk for the child every month since he started feeding on them but it’s not enough.

“He paid no dowry on me before we became husband and wife because I was the one who ran,” Dasola told the court.

The defendant, Taiwo, denied the allegations. He said that his wife is promiscuous and stubborn.

“I observed that each time I go to my shop, my wife calls other men. She even uses my phone sometimes to make calls. I’ve tried to stop her but she’s been adamant.

“She’s stubborn, disobedient and wayward. Shortly after our marriage, we had a quarrel and she slapped me.”

The court, however, asked Taiwo if he ever beat his wife and what step his parents took.  He replied ‘I never beat her once.’ Dasola, however, opened up to the court that although Taiwo’s father has been intervening in their affairs since they got married, he withdrew at the point of provocation from his son. She said that Taiwo takes advantage of his father’s old age and opposes him each time he tries to make peace between them and that his mother is dead.

Not satisfied with his wife’s submissions, Taiwo said: “I’ve made a mistake getting married to you.”

President of the court, Chief Agbaje Henry Olasunkanmi, after listening to the couple, told them to bring their family members and the child, Emmanuel to the court on November 11 for judgement.

Indigenous People Of Biafra Condemns Release of Killers of Igbo Woman in Kano

The release of alleged killers of an elderly Igbo trader, Mrs. Aghaneme has provoked the leadership of the IPOB separatist movement.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has condemned the release of the five suspects who allegedly murdered an Igbo woman, Mrs Bridget Aghaneme, in Kano over alleged blasphemy by the court, describing the judgement as concocted.

It however, said that the judgement had vindicated its position that there were different laws for different people in the country. IPOB’s Media and Publicity Director, Comrade Emma Powerful, who made this known in a statement in Enugu also, wondered how a magistrate court which had no jurisdiction to try murder cases could release murder suspects without the connivance of the Kano State government.

The suspects included Dauda Ahmed, Abdulmumuni Mustapha, Zubairu Abubakar, Abdullahi Abubakar and Musa Abdullahi. The statement read, “We, in the IPOB worldwide condemn the recent judgment delivered by the magistrate court in Kano State in favour of the killers of Mrs Bridget Aghaneme who was murdered in broad daylight in Kano state by the Islamic fundamentalist.

“We condemn the judgment in its totality. The magistrate and the government of Kano State were instrumental to the killing of an innocent woman who committed no crime against Islam.

“However, this is what IPOB preached that the Christians in Nigeria and the people of Biafra must leave the north and come back home and make their lives better by staying in a place where their lives will be protected. This concocted judgment by the killers in the northern part of Nigeria indicate that Igbo are not wanted in the northern territories.

“Again we are aware that the killers of the Christians and Biafrans have infiltrated the judiciary especially in the northern part of Nigeria.

“Otherwise, how can a well trained lawyer and a magistrate who attended so many seminars and course release a murderer who snuffed life out of a fellow human being to go scot free?

“This is a dangerous signal that nobody is safe again in the country…We are also aware that the arrest they made before taking them to court was a jamboree just in a bid to deceive the general public and cover their evil agenda against the people of Biafra but then we are not deterred in fighting for the restoration of God’s nation, Biafra.”

I Can't Marry a Poor Man - Linda Ikeji Finally Opens Up

From growing up in Idi Oro, a Mushin suburb of Lagos to owning a mansion in the highbrow Banana Island, Nigerian super blogger and former model, Linda Ikeji, admits that she has come a long way.
Linda Ikeji

Ovwe Medeme of the Nation Newspaper caught up with Linda Ikeji at the recent launch of her new concept, Linda Ikeji Social, and she talked about her struggle so far.

Read some excerpts from her interview below:

You made a video on your birthday where you talked about a lot of things. Why did you do that?

I just wanted to talk about it. It was my birthday and I just wished I was married. It’s now that I want to get married. I don’t wish I was married earlier.

Are you saying you’re not getting proposals from men?

I’m getting quite a lot. People say that when you’re successful, men run away. It’s a lie. That is when they chase you the more. But unfortunately I haven’t seen what I’m looking for. It was my birthday and I just wanted to talk about it.

What are you looking for?

I keep telling people. It’s not that men are scarce. They are not scarce. The type of men that some of us are looking for are scarce. If I want to get married next week, I can. I want a man that I can look up to. Somebody that inspires me, somebody that will push me, motivate me; somebody who has had some success in his own career. I’m inspired by successful people. I can’t wait to meet someone like Tyler Perry.

Does that mean you can’t marry a poor man?

No, I can’t marry a poor guy and I’m being honest about it. He doesn’t have to be rich but let him be successful in his own way.

Have you had to review you standards when it comes to men?

When I was 30, my standards were extremely high. But I wasn’t really looking. I was just so focused on work because I’ve always been so ambitious. I wasn’t focused on marriage and kids and I felt like that would draw me back. So I wanted to just do my stuff. It was just recently that I started asking myself some questions. That I started thinking about it. Now, I have only three criteria.

What are the three?

He must be successful. He must be a good man in the sense that he has to be very supportive of what I do. If he tries to stifle me, I’m out. The third one, is the one that likes to eat groceries well (laughs).
