Former Nigerian International goalkeeper, Wilfred Agbonavbare has been
diagnosed with cancer. The ex-Rayo Vallecano goalkeeper is currently at
a Spanish hospital where he is undergoing treatment for an undisclosed
type of cancer. Agbonavbare was a member of Nigeria’s U-21 Mexico 1983
Flying Eagles, 1984 AFCON silver medalist and 1994 AFCON gold medalist.
He lost his wife three years ago to breast cancer.
