A man and his wife with their baby have found themselves in more trouble than they can handle after committing a heinous crime.

Bernard Inya, a 38-year-old-man, has been remanded in prison.
The man was remanded, alongside his wife, Chinyere (34), and their
two-month-old baby at the federal prisons in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State
over the death of a lady in their community.
According to the Punch Metro, the accused persons hail from Ezi Nwachi Ndibe in Afikpo North Local Government Area of the state.
The couple was arraigned by the police at the magistrate’s court on
charges of murder punishable under Section 324 of the Criminal Code Law
Cap 33 Volume 1 Laws of Ebonyi State of Nigeria 2009.
Southern City News reports that the mother of the baby Chinyere had
pleaded while on dock that she should be granted bail for the sake of
her baby but her plea was not granted by the magistrate.
After listening to the plea of the accused, the trial magistrate,
Nwachi Olughu, ordered that the accused persons be remanded in prison
custody.
The magistrate also ordered that the court processes be forwarded to the Directorate of Public Prosecution for legal advice.
The matter was adjourned till January 20, 2017 for hearing.
