Kenyan Police Chief resigns over today's killings, interior minister fired
After receiving the police chief's resignation letter, Kenyan president, Uhuru Kenyatta announced the dismissal of Kenya's Interior Minister with immediate effect. (Pic from the scene above)
According to AP, President Uhuru Kenyatta has named an opposition politician and retired army general, Joseph Nkaissery, as new Interior Minister, in charge of security.
Al Shabab terror group this morning invaded a quarry in Mandera, north of Kenya, separating the Christians from the Muslims and shot dead the ones who couldn't recite the Qur'an.
Two weeks ago, the terror group attacked a bus and killed 28 Christians.
ISIS leader, al-Baghdadi's wife and daughter detained in Lebanon
According to Jerusalem Post, the woman identified as Saja al-Dulaimi, an Iraqi, was reportedly traveling with a fake passport when she was arrested and detained in coordination with "foreign intelligence", according to a senior Lebanese political source and security official.
A Lebanese security official said that a DNA test was conducted on the girl traveling with the woman to verify it was Baghdadi's child. It proved positive.
The arrest is a blow to the terror leader as the wife and daughter could be used against his group, especially as a bargaining chip. The terror group has captured many foreigners.
There is currently no immediate reaction from Islamic State websites.

Governor Fashola opens register for sex offenders in Lagos State
Kudos to Lagos State Governor, Raji Fashola who is the first
Nigerian governor to open a sex offenders register. He signed an
executive order to provide for compulsory reporting of actual or suspected
child abuse and establishment of a sex offenders’ register at the State House,
Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja, yesterday Dec. 1st.
He also identified Alimosho,
Kosofe, Agege and Oshodi-Isolo Local Govt as the councils with the
highest cases of Sexual and Gender Based Violence crimes in the state...
“I will like to tell those perpetrating the act in these local governments (Alimosho, Kosofe, Agege and Oshodi-Isolo) to desist now because we would be coming after them. We will combat these crimes so that they do not become big crimes in the state. Also, in order to ensure that criminals are monitored, we have created a crime data register which states everyone who has engaged the criminal justice system of the state, and we have close to a 100, 000 offenders on that register. And very soon, we would start deploying people to the data rooms in the police stations across the state to gather the bio data of offenders including their photographs and others.
“This was why we have asked everyone to register so that before you employ anyone, you will know his track record. And this is the time for everyone especially women to speak against it. This is the time for us to have a local enforcement unit; either we call it state police or whatever name we wish to call it, to protect the women from frequent abuse from the opposite gender. This is the time for women to rise up and challenge employers who sets unimaginable targets for their female employees. These were targets they could not set for men,” he said
The Lagos State Attorney-General Mr Ade Ipaye added that
“We monitoring one hundred and thirteen 113 sexual violence cases currently at the High Court. The Team is working actively to ensure prompt prosecution of these cases. The major aim of the Sex Offenders Monitoring Programme and the Mandated Reporter policy is to reduce repeat cases by providing names and personal details of convicted sex offenders in the State to a central database. The Database will be accessible to individuals and organizations that need information. For example, School proprietors who want to recruit can access this Register as a form of background check.
“The Mandated Reporter policy will make it compulsory for all State School Administrators, Counsellors, Teachers, Social Welfare Officers and any other official of the State Government having any dealings with children to report any suspected or actual child abuse or neglect to the Attorney-General’s office. It is envisaged that the Lagos State Sex Offenders Register will be open and maintained by the Lagos State Ministry of Justice in partnership with the Lagos State Judiciary, the Nigerian Prisons and the Nigerian Police”. BBAHotShots Evictions: Day 56 – ByeBye, Goitse and Ellah Evicted!
Goitse and Ellah were the second eviction of the night, making them the 17th and 18th housemates to be given the boot. It was time to bid these gorgeous belles a hearty farewell as they were so close yet sadly so far. With only a week to go to the finale, this was a tough eviction but the dames walked the plank with style and grace.
Following her countrymate’s earlier exit Goitse was the second and last remaining Botswanan in the house. Sheillah had become her competion in the game as their countrymen would be split and spoilt for choice. For only a glimmering moment there it looked like she had won them over but her turn was here.
The cool, calm and collected Goitse always treaded with composure. And it was with the very same measure that she accepted her fate as her name was announced alongside Ellah’s. Sipe’s jaw dropped and not so much Idris as she handed out her goodbye hugs and kisses. Goitse walked out wrapped in her nation’s flag. Later on Sipe could be seen wiping the tears from her eyes.
With the most number of nominations in the season and after being saved all those many times, Uganda’s beauty queen Ellah had reached her end and the time had finally come for her burning fire to be extinguished. Her frequent appearance on the nominations list – followed by the fact that Africa was always saving her – positioned her as a strong contender and thus threat in the game and it was for this that Macky2 added her.
Looking as dashing as ever Ellah, adjusted her mini skirt, flicked her luscious locks off her shoulder and hit the road. She flew her flag high and glided onto the stage just like the beauty queen she is. Her beau Idris squeezed her in a longing hug goodbye while her buddy Butterphly yelled “I love you!” which she reciprocated.
Ellah wished all the housemates the best and commended Macky2 for being bold, while Goitse joked and said they would be bored without her. Idris’ “wives” confirmed that Ellah was his wife for now but Goitse was not about that life.
Fally Ipupa sung the evictees onto stage with
a proudly African offering with a modern edge. Both gals had a lot to be proud of and could each hang the accolade of being a Big Brother Hotshots contender on their wall of achievements
