Two deadly armed robbers were burnt alive after they were caught in Obudu area of Cross River state.
The two armed robbers were burnt beyond recognition
These are photos of two armed robbers who were burnt alive on Friday in their operational vehicle in Obudu, Cross River State.
According to an eyewitness, they had gone to rob a store around the
market area and were about driving off when the brother to the store
owner ran out after them and held onto the steer wheel from outside.
The driver in a bid to accelerate, lost control and ran into the open roadside drainage.
Onlookers now seized the opportunity to pounce on them. One was
fortunate to escape, while the cops were able to save one. However, two
were roasted beyond recognition.
A
Nigerian social commentator, Olatunji has shared 10 cogent questions
for the supporters of the Mavrodi Mondial Moneybox wonder bank which has
purportedly hit the rocks in Nigeria.
The following are my questions to the subscribers to MMM popularly called Mavrodians.
1. Where do you think the money you are collecting through MMM is coming from?
MMM claims not to be a business and not an investment, so where do
you think the 30% return which excites you so much is coming from?
2. Do you know what a Ponzi Scheme is?
I have to ask this question because of those who defend MMM with
the claim that they have made money from it. To be the clear, a minority
will make money from Ponzi schemes being the early adopters that help
to create the exponential growth. However, the latter subscribers are
the ones that lose greatly. If you understand this, you will not present
this argument as evidence for MMM not being a fraud.
3. Where did you get the money you invested in MMM from?
You could not use that money in any legitimate business?
I ask this question because many MMM subscribers behave as if they were incapable of earning money before MMM came.
4. Is it that you don’t understand that governments across
the world are duty-bound not to allow a Ponzi scheme started by an
ex-convict that has scammed people across the world operate freely
within their countries?
This one is self-explanatory, Sergey Mavrodi the main brain behind
MMM is an ex-convict. He got convicted for scamming Russians with a
precursor scheme to MMM.
5. Explain how MMM is a revolutionary idea that commercial banking should be afraid of?
MMM subcribers are quick to tag banks as stealing from their
customers while MMM is the solution for the masses. Curiously enough,
they pay into each other’s bank accounts; curious to say the least.
6. Do you understand that wealth is created based on the
value you create not through this system operated by a few people to rob
people of their money while leaving them in the lurch?
Let us say all of us joined MMM, where would productive output come from?
7. Did you anticipate that your ‘investment’ (sorry, your
‘Mavros’) could be frozen without you having any say on what happens
next?
I am sure many ‘Mavrodians’ did not expect this December debacle, but we are here.
8. Do you agree that as a promoter of the scheme, you are
quite dubious because you are seeking to reap bountifully at the expense
of others when the scheme crashes?
Note I wrote ‘when’ not ‘if’
9. Do you not worry that you could have a hand in the death
or grievous harm happening to people who could lose money from MMM and
become suicidal?
We already have reports of some people taking poison because their money got frozen this December.
10. Do you understand that you are effectively using time
that you could use for productive activity to promote a questionable
scheme at best?
If you understand that time lost is irrecoverable, why waste it?
Few
days after Mavrodi Mundial Moneybox, MMM, froze the accounts of its
over 3 million members, another Ponzi scheme has surfaced, and Nigerians
are falling for it.
NNN Nigeria is the latest trending Ponzi scheme in Nigeria
A new money doubling scheme called NNN Nigeria which is modeled
after the more notorious Ponzi scheme, MMM Nigeria, has emerged just
days after MMM froze the accounts of its millions of subscribers in the
country.
It seems that some fraudulent people are taking advantage of the
economic recession and the sutdown of MMM, to play on the intelligence
of Nigerians who are looking for quick cash, and unfortunately, out of
greed, most people are falling for these Ponzi schemes.
Just before you decide to join, below are important things you need
to know about NNN which is the latest trending Ponzi scheme in Nigeria.
1. It is a community of ordinary people, selflessly helping each other.
2. NNN promises 35% return on investment unlike MMM which promises 30%.
3. A team of freedom lovers in America headed by an influential
Yoruba man came up with a logic and tested it offline in New York City
in 2014. In September 2015, they held a conference in VI Lagos where
they introduced NNN logic.
4. The use of the site is restricted to members and individuals personally invited by them only.
5. The goal of NNN is not the money but to acquire as much as you can.
6. There will be no moratorium and the system will be automated.
7. NNN is just a copycat of MMM as everything is the same except the 5% difference on returns.
8. It is not a bank neither is it an online business.
A Kenyan pastor who hired a prostitute for an all-night s*x has died at his hotel room after taking Viagra overdose.

A Sixty-year-old John Olang Abluza pastor has died in a hotel room
after taking an overdose of viagra he took to engage a woman in marathon
s*x. His n*ked body was discovered inside a room in an Oyugis hotel
accommodation facility.
Police in Oyugis in Homa Bay County of Kenya are looking for the
middle-aged woman in connection to the death of a pastor whom she had
accompanied to a lodging facility.
eDaily reports that Olang, who was also a professional surveyor,
had booked a room in the lodging facility at around 5pm Thursday to
engage in intimate activities with the suspect, when he overdosed on
Viagra and died.
Nearly 30 minutes after checking themselves into the lodging
facility, the woman left in a hurry – and that is when the hospital
security suspected that a crime could have been committed.
The lodging receptionist said they did not record identification details of the woman when she checked in.
Homa Bay County Police Commander John Omusanga confirmed the
incident, saying investigations have revealed that the 60-year-old man
overdosed on sex enhancement drugs, which could have led to his death.
Omusanga has urged any member of the public with information that
can lead to the arrest of the suspect to report to any Police Station in
Homa Bay County. Olang’s body was taken to Rachuonyo District Hospital
mortuary.
A young lady has lamented on the inability of her man to practice mutual oral s*x with her despite her giving him the treat.

Another setback has hit the US President-elect Donald Trump before his January 20 inauguration in Washington.
US President-elect, Donald Trump
US President-elect, Donald Trump might not be a happy man after
celebrated singer, Celine Dion reportedly turned down invitation to
perform at his inauguration ceremony on Friday, Jan. 20, in Washington,
D.C.
A report by TheWrap revealed that Trump, 70, and his team were
unable to secure a booking with the 48-year-old French-Canadian
superstar. She has a previously scheduled concert date in Las Vegas on
Inauguration Day.
A source told the website that Trump’s friend Steve Wynn promised to get the "My Heart Will Go On" singer on board but failed.
Garth Brooks also declined an invitation to perform at Trump’s
inauguration, according to TheWrap, after Wynn also tried to get the
country singer for the event. The outlet also reported that opera star
Andrea Bocelli originally agreed to perform, but ultimately changed his
mind after feeling pressure from fans.
So far, the only performer confirmed to participate is "America’s
Got Talent" season five runner-up Jackie Evancho . The 16-year-old, will
sing the national anthem at the swearing-in ceremony.
One
of Nigeria's most controversial online influencer and journalist, Kemi
Olunloyo, has revealed new details about Seun Egbegbe, who allegedly
stole iPhones in Lagos.
Seun Egbegbe being allegedly caught and beaten for stealing iPhone 7
Kemi Olunloyo, the controversial daughter of former governor of Oyo
State, Victor Omololu Olunloyo, has disclosed that she has continued
her investigation on Toyin Aimakhu’s ex-lover, Seun Egbegbe, who
allegedly stole nine iPhones in the popular computer village in Ikeja,
Lagos State.
It can be recalled that the Yoruba movie producer and actor, was attacked some weeks ago
for allegedly trying to steal nine iPhones, from a store. He was later
arraigned by the police before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court and granted
N2m bail,
Barely a month after Egbegbe’s iPhone theft saga, he reportedly
jetted out of the shores of Nigeria and is currently cooling off in
Malaysia.
In Kemi Olunloyo's latest update she posted on her Instagram page @HNNAfrica, the self acclaimed Snitch Lady said;
“Yet another #Ibadan theft case where Seun @egbegbe_1 has been
accused of trying to swap dollars for naira in a furniture store
underpaying them and fled away in a Volkswagen Golf when he almost got
caught.
“Another popular gadget store minutes ago in #Ibadan says he stole 3 iPhones and 2 ipads and they are ready to testify.
“I will compile all these cases and post them also urging
victims to come forward to police to get a day in court and restitution
for your stolen goods.
“HNNInvestigates was first to tell you that Egbegbe was using
ritualistic charms to hypnotize sales people and also was overheard at
Kirikiri during his bail detention as saying “I steal for a living and
use movie production as cover up” something he now denies.
“Egbegbe is out of the country in #Malaysia. #hnncrime has
tweeted #malaysianpolice in hopes of extraditing him at least for his
Computer Village case of nine stolen iPhones where he was caught red
handed and beaten by the public.
“Last year at Onaj gadgets in Ring rd #Ibadan he got over 10
phones at Onaj taken to his car by a sales staff Seye in hopes to pay
the next day.
“The next day Seye called Seun and was told he traveled. The
second time the sim card was no longer in use and Onaj lost money and
got Seye arrested, charged and detained.
“The owners had no idea why a salesman would give over 10
phones to a customer without paying. Due to the health of Seye’s elderly
parents, he was later released as that arrest almost killed them having
to see their innocent son possibly sent to prison.
“Egbegbe almost ruined an innocent man’s life.
“When the Computer Village iphone theft happened, Seye
confirmed to police that it was the same guy who ripped off Onaj gadgets
which corroborates my story tip on the woman who told me that Seun took
rituals into stores to hypnotize staff.
“The charms failed at Keelcech at Computer V. Onaj now wants the case reopened.
“#Oyostate police is now upset at why #Lagosstate police
allowed Egbegbe to leave the country to #Malaysia when he has a court
date February 18th 2017.
“#HNNINVESTIGATES will have the exclusive for you. Egbegbe also
allegedly stole 2 GoTV decoders in #Ibadan where he jazzed sales ppl
too.”
A married woman who has obviously had enough of her husband's obnoxiously randy acts, has dragged the man out on social media.
File photo used only for illustrative purpose
The lady shared her story on break_or_makeup, telling stunned readers about her husband's randy ways.
According to her, the man is so randy that he can sleep with
anything wearing a skirt. This situation has gotten her completely
enraged and embittered.
The worst part of the entire affair is that the man has gone ahead
to get their own housegirl pregnant. She had to abort the pregnancy.
Not stopping there, the man proceeded to get her teenage pregnant as well.
This last move of his is what broke the camel's back.
Popular
Nigerian comedian and singer has narrowly escaped being lynched to
death by notorious thugs after cracking expensive jokes against a
governor.
Nigerian comedian, Maleke
Deadly thugs said to be working under the instructions of the
Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, on Wednesday, almost lynched
Nigerian comedian and musical artiste, Moye Idowu, popularly known as
Maleke.
Speaking exclusively to SaharaReporters, a Police officer who
witnessed the show, said that Maleke, who was hired to entertain the
audience at the 2016 Ika Carnival in Agbor, headquarters of Ika South
LGA of the state, made jokes on stage about the governor.
"After thrilling the crowd first with some musical dance steps
at the 2016 Ika Carnival, Maleke began to crack some very expensive and
mocking jokes on the state governor using some harsh words on Okowa,” the witness said.
“After a time some thugs working with the governor, who is from
Ika, made several attempts to stop Maleke but he continued. At this
stage their tempers started to rise,” he said, adding that the
thugs, after reinforcing by making calls to other members of their
gangs, climbed up to the stage and gripped the comedian by the shirt.
Apparently showing no fear, Maleke continued with his performance, and perhaps out of annoyance, he shouted, “Okowa is an idiot! Okowa is an idiot!”
At that point, the Police source said, his boss, CSP Akintude
Oyeniran, the Divisional Police Officer of the Agbor police station,
along with some of his colleagues, rushed to the stage and whisked
Maleke away.
In his words, "Maleke was so lucky. If not for the swift
intervention of my boss and some of my colleagues, Maleke would have
been beaten to a state of coma. By now he would have been hospitalized
because those thugs were armed with some dangerous weapons and you know
their brother is the governor of the state as such they can do anything
and go free."
When contacted, CSP Akintude Oyeniran confirmed the story saying that his swift intervention saved the life of the comedian. "Yes, I saved his life just as you heard the story."
An
indigene of Bayelsa State currently on a state-sponsored scholarship
seems to have been dumped by the government of the South-south state.
Gov. Seriake Dickson
Mr. Abasi Aikien, a Bayelsa State student on scholarship at the
University College Sedaya International, Kuala Lumpur, in Malaysia, has
allegedly been abandoned by the state government.
It was learnt that Aikien, who is studying Mechatronics Engineering
in the Asian country, had been left to his fate since 2014 through the
state government’s inability to settle his school fees and maintenance
expenses.
It was further learnt that due to the development, his parents –
Mr. Roosevelt Abasi and Mrs. Bemeyi Abasi, both teachers in Bayelsa
State, took over the payment of the student’s school fees until they
could no longer pay.
Aikien’s father Roosevelt Abasi, has, therefore, cried out for
help, saying that his family could no longer cope with the high school
fees and upkeep allowances.
He said there was virtually nothing left for them to sell anymore
to continue to cater for Aikien’s fees and maintenance expenses. Abasi
said at a point, they resorted to taking loans to see the student
through, but sadly noted that the family could not service the loans any
longer.
Abasi said despite the harsh economy and excruciating pains of
teachers in the state, the family had spent over N7m for his (Aikien’s)
tuition and upkeep in Malaysia since 2014. He lamented, “We have sold all that we have to bear the burden the Bayelsa State Government has placed on us.
“As teachers, given the salary situation in the state, we can
no longer cope and there is virtually nothing left to sell except our
dwelling house. We even resorted to taking loans, now we can no longer
service the loans.”
Meanwhile, a non-governmental organisation, Patriotic Citizens of
Nigeria, interfacing between the government and the parents, has raised
the alarm that Aikien faces detention and expulsion from school if he
failed to pay up his fees on or before January 4, 2017.
The Arch-Convener, PACON, Mr. Aluzu Ebikebuna Augustine, in a
statement on Friday, said Abasi (Aikien’s father) already owed
RM22,285.00 Malaysian Riggit, approximately $6,198.28 (an estimated
N2.5m).
Augustine said, “Several times, the Bayelsa state Government
promised him and his educational provider, and repeatedly the government
which Aikien has given his all for failed.
“The student has missed a year because of the inaction of the
state government. His family came to his rescue. Now, the family has
sold everything and cannot meet up the outstanding fees.
“They have even begged prominent politicians in the state to come to their son’s aid but to no avail.
“Aikien is supposed to graduate next year, but his fees are now
between him and his qualification. He also faces possible detention and
deportation from Malaysia if he does not pay his tuition on January 4,
2017.
“The development will amount to violation of his current visa
conditions and the action that can be taken against him by the Malaysian
government is detention, handcuff and removal. If that happens, it will
be seven years of wasted academic pursuit.
“It is understood that the government of Bayelsa has released
over N200m for payment of stipends and scholarship for students in
Lincoln University and King’s University College Ghana.
“Aikien is still a beneficiary of state scholarship and should ordinarily be entitled to his tuition and stipends as well.”
The Bayelsa State Government had in a letter written to UCSI
University on May 7, 2015, acknowledged that Aikien was a
state-sponsored scholarship student of the university.
The letter signed by the Secretary, BSSB, Collins Ifidi, noted
that Aikien had been awarded scholarship to pursue Bachelor degree at
USCI University and that the scholarship covered the entire duration of
his studies.
A police officer went on rampage and brutally killed his colleague in Zaria leaving everyone in serious shock.
*Photo used for illustrative purpose*
A mobile policeman attached to Zenith Bank, Zaria, on Friday killed
his colleague attached to the same bank following disagreement over
monthly stipends being given them by the bank.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that quarrel between the
policemen, Mathew Joshua, corporal and Aliyu Kamilu, sergeant, ensued
following discovery that the sergeant had been short-changing the
corporal.
When Joshua confronted Kamilu on the issue, they started shouting
at each other and “the corporal, who is holding-on to his rifle shot at
the sergeant in his stomach.
“After shooting the sergeant, Josua started shouting and
shooting sporadically, which eventually led to the killing of a
university student,” an eye witness told NAN.
The eye witness said that four customers of the bank also sustained bullet wounds.
“When the report of the incident reached their command in Zaria, a team of policemen was immediately mobilised to the area.
“The policemen met their colleague with two rifles. They had no option than to systematically take position.
“One of them succeeded in shooting Joshua on the leg, which gave people around the opportunity to descend on him with stones.”
He said Joshua, the corpses of Kamilu and the student were rushed
to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Shika, Zaria.
A NAN correspondent who visited ABUTH reports that the hospital authority also confirmed the death of the student and Kamilu.
A source at the Police Area Command, Zaria, also confirmed the death of Joshua at ABUTH.
“The Nigeria Police has no case because the two policemen gave-up the ghost.
“Information coming to us now is that the affected policemen have died, therefore, we have no case.”
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Police Command, Kaduna, DSP Aliyu Usman, confirmed the incident.
He, however, said that he was yet to get details on the matter.
Some armed Fulani herdsmen have kidnapped a National Youth Service Corps member and some other women demanding N15 million.
*Photo used for illustrative purpose*
Three women, including a member of the National Youth Service
Corps, have been kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Kwali Area
Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Punch reports.
According to reports, the victims were said to be travelling on God
is Good Motors on Wednesday when they were robbed at gun point and
thereafter marched into the bush.
When contacted, the Head of Anti-Kidnapping Unit in Special
Anti-Robbery Squad (FCT Police Command), Yemi Ola, confirmed the kidnap,
saying his office has received a report of the case.
He said, “The report was made at Kwali Division from where it
was transferred to us yesterday (Thursday) night; we took a statement
from the sister of one of the victims who was inside the vehicle. I told
them to come back today and I am still expecting them.”
It was learnt that the kidnappers have demanded N15m ransom from family of the victims.
While they demanded N5m from the family of the two sisters, the
kidnappers demanded N10m from the father of Grace Oghene Edegware, a
graduate of Accountancy from Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro, who was
deployed by NYSC to Lagos State.
It may be recalled that, so far, three youth corps members have
died in three orientation camps across the country in the last one
month, spurring angry criticisms about the programme
