Ex
president Goodluck Jonathan has stormed Sokoto State to see the family
of the Dasukis but what he met there was unprecedented.
Goodluck Jonathan arrives Sokoto
The immediate past president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan arrived
Sokoto State and proceeded to the home of detained former National
Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
Mr Jonathan was there to condole with the people over the death of Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki.
The former Sultan of Sokoto had died at a hospital in Abuja on Monday, November14th.
He was buried on Tuesday after a Janaza prayers at the Sultan Bello Mosque.
However Mr Jonathan's visit took a dramatic turn after many of the
state indigenes came out with placards pleading with the ex president to
come back to power.
Eyewitnesses reveal that the people were saying they were tired of
the Buhari administration and wanted Jonathan to be president again.
One of the placards read: "Come back Baba Jonathan"
This is quite a shocking development considering that the northerners were strongly against Goodluck Jonathan's bid for
reelection in the 2015 presidential eleCtions.
