[GIST HOUR] Sugar Daddy Wahala [episode 2] - By Husband Material

Continued From Part 1
I kept hoping that the elderly man would take his eyes off me but he did the exact opposite, he got his eye fixed on me, when the introduction of new members was made I and Carole stood up, as the church members welcome us by shaking hands, this particular walked down from the alter as he walked to where we were standing, shook hands with Carole and then stretched his hand saying
“Your beautiful” smilingHis coarse baritone voice made my inner being shiver in excitement as he smiled and then turned to leave when a female usher walked towards us with the form for new member to fill, the elderly man took the form from the usher and then shared the forms to us, when it got to my turn he was quick to add
“Make your phone number visible please”
I smiled as he brought out his pen from his pocket and then handed it over to me, that was the first time I had written down something to bold and clear that even a blind man would see, walking to the junction to board a taxi home when the elderly man drove past us in his entourage, we noticed all his cars had a personalised plate number “Billion” written on it as he waved at us from inside one of the cars while his escort blared their sirens and other cars on the road paved way for them to pass, I went home that day thanking my stars that I ran into such kind of person and that was when the wait started, I was perturbed for days as all I did was practically stalk my phone and hoping that every beep from my would be the elderly guy from the church but that never happened as days turned to weeks, it was then I concluded that I needed deliverance from a very strong pastor.
After our exams for the semester, we were all preparing to go home for holiday, when Carole adviced that I rather not stress myself with struggling to carry my luggage to the park, she advice I wait on her uncle that was coming to take her home because we lived at the same street, not too long did Carole appear at my doorstep, banging it loud and screaming to the top of her voice
“Maureen be fast please my uncle is here”
I quickly grabbed my box by the handle and then dashed out, locked my door quickly so as not to my this stress free journey home, when we got downstair to the large space in our compound where cars were parked, I saw to exquiste wonders on wheels parked right in front of me
“Is that your uncle?” I asked Carole
She smiled as her gap tooth made her look funny
“Yes o! That’s my uncle” she replied
I never knew that Carole had such a rich uncle, if this was truly her uncle how can they be living in a dilapidated house back at home? So I thought to myself but when the car door opened and no uncle was seen inside the car, I became suspicious of her, the driver greeted us and said
“Chief is waiting for you at Royal Heaven hotel down the road, he said I should bring you along so that you guys can have lunch together” he said
It was then it became obvious to me that this was a classified file that Carole wanted to keep classified so we did not discuss anything about whom the chief was as we kept the long distant silence all through the journey until the driver parked his car right in front of the entrance to Royal Heaven hotel, still awed by the magnificient structure of the five star hotel as the chaffeur opened the door to where Carole was sitting and then she alighted from the car, the chaffeur walked to the side of my door to open it but was stopped abruptly by Carole saying
“No don’t worry she is waiting for me here in the car”
I could not believe that Carole could pull such funny stunts, she felt I would snatch her man and that was the singular reason why she needed me inside that car and not with her, I decided to endure and wait for her so as to erase any suspicious of such intent in her mind, discussing with the driver while she walked into the hotel, minutes weared out and from scorching sun to darkening clouds it was almost three hours with no sign of Carole in sight, I was pissed at myself for not travelling alone, when the lid of my patience can was blown open I could not withhold the anger as I opened the car door and then walked to the entrance of the hotel as the driver kept shouting
“Madam abeg come na, no vex abeg”
I did not heed to his calling as I walked into the hotel, walk past the reception and then saw the restuarant by the left, I pushed the door open and walked in as I heard the voice of Carole begging
“Chief please take me, I have been begging you for hours”
When I got closer I saw Carole kneeling down on the tiles by a table and begging a man, when he raised his head up I recognisesd him immediately to be “Billion” the elderly guy from the church, he smiled like a kid presented with a can of ice cream
“That is her, I thought you said you came to church alone that sunday” he said
His serviette still tucked in his neck as he walked towards me and hugged me, I was perplexed at the turn of events, Carole stood up with her head bowed down as she ran outside in shame, I tried to run after her but Billion held me back saying
“She is fine, I gave her hundred thousand naira, I even paid her fees and house rent this semester thinking it was you I was talking to on the phone, this is our first meeting since that sunday”
I almost felt like crying because Carole had been the one eating my bread and butter while I fed on crumbs as she was the one practically feeding me towards the end of the semester, by the time I had finish discussing with chief as he walked me to the car, I noticed Carole was no longer there and her box gone, as the driver drove me home, from the rear mirror he kept looking at me like he had seen a ghost which was not the stare he had on me hours ago, so I pressurized and asked him
“Oga wetin happen? Why you dey look me like say you see ghost?”
He pedalled the break of the car, and then turned facing me and then asked quietly
“Why you enter there go snatch your friend man? Abi you no know say na dis kind thing dem dey use poison person? If you see how your friend dey swear wetin she go do you as she carry her bag dey go, you kukuma return her man friend give her back” he said
I just flashed angry looks at him and then burst in ranting of words
“Papa is no be say you be my father mate I for insult you, abeg drop me for here make I carry my wahala dey go” I retorted as I opened the door and then walked toward the boot
I had full confidence in my actions because I wasn’t wrong and I had a cheque of five hundred thousand written in my name, I knew this holiday would be on to remember in a lifetime.
