Adams Oshiomhole

Adams Oshiomhole The Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has expressed that President Goodluck Jonathan will not succeed in getting the votes of Edo people in the 2015 elections slated to hold next month and according to him, this is due to the abandonment of the state by the president.

Oshiomhole said that President Jonathan did not fulfil his promise to aid in the development of the state, even after being helped into his incumbent position by acquiring 95 per cent of votes of Edo people in 2011.

Speaking at different rallies held by the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Ehor and Igueben, in Uhunmwode Igueben Local Government Area on Saturday, Oshiomole opined that even though several letters had been sent to the Federal Government to provide assistance to the state in combating erosion problems, the Jonathan administration paid deaf ears to the appeals of the Edo people.

He further stated that the people of his state are wiser now and would not hesitate to boot the president out come February 14. Speaking about Jonathan’s impact on his state so far, Oshiomole said, “The last time, we voted for President Jonathan. He got 95 per cent of the total votes in Edo State. Yet, I cannot think of any meaningful thing he has done in the state.
