Officials of the Kano State Hisbah board have arrested 12 persons who assembled in a hotel on the outskirts of the state for an alleged wedding marriage of two suspected homosexuals.

The suspected homosexuals had converged at a location in Dawakin Kudu LGA for the alleged wedding but the Hisbah officials stormed the venue and arrested the bride along with 11 others while the groom escaped.

Parading the suspects, the Hisbah Commandant General, Sheik Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, said the homosexuals invited their colleagues to the ceremony from across the country through the social media. He said they would invite the parents of the suspected gays in order to educate them on the dangers of such an act.
